Workforce Extensions Parramatta is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established food manufacturer in NSW. This permanent, full-time role offers an attractive hourly rate of $55–$60 and a strong focus on safety and reliability.

The successful candidate will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on packaging and production equipment, troubleshoot PLCs, motors and drives, and work closely with production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Electrical Licence – Essential.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motors and automated machinery.
• Commitment to safety and site procedures.

Responsabilités

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance on food manufacturing and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, motors, sensors, drives and control systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, production lines and automated machinery.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant reliability.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and site procedures.
• Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations.

Maintenance Electrician – Food Manufacturing

Workforce Extensions Parramatta is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established food manufacturing company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience in FMCG or food manufacturing who is looking for a stable, permanent role with excellent hourly rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on food manufacturing and packaging machinery


• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise production downtime


• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, motors, sensors, drives and control systems


• Maintain and repair conveyors, production lines and automated machinery

What We're Looking For

• Current Australian Electrical Licence – Essential


• Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar industrial environment


• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills


• Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, motors and automated machinery


• Ability to respond efficiently to machinery breakdowns


• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems


• Strong commitment to workplace safety and food manufacturing standards


• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
