Job summary

Pace Appointments Pty is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent day shift at a busy manufacturing site in Toowoomba. You will perform electrical maintenance across the site, including fault-finding and preventative tasks to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

Join a supportive team with a stable 38-hour week, day shift hours (6:00am–2:30pm), and overtime opportunities during projects and shutdowns. This is a long-term, permanent full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification and current Electrical Licence.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or food production environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication and safety-focused workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform fault-finding.
• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance programs.
• Maintain and repair production equipment, conveyors, refrigeration and cooling systems.
• Work with PLCs, control systems, instrumentation and electrical panels.
• Test and tag electrical equipment.
• Ensure electrical safety and WHS compliance.
• Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.

Pace Appointments have joined with an industry leading agri-business seeking a motivated Maintenance Electrician to join the team on a permanent day shift roster. About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance across the entire site. No two days are the same, with work ranging from fault-finding and preventative maintenance on production equipment through to general site electrical maintenance. This is a hands-on role where you'll become a key contributor to keeping the plant operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform fault-finding activities
• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
• Maintain and repair production equipment, conveyors, refrigeration and cooling systems
• Work with PLCs, control systems, instrumentation and electrical panels
• Test and tag electrical equipment
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety and WHS requirements
• Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime
• Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification and current Electrical Licence
• Experience within industrial manufacturing, food production, processing, or similar environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication skills and a willingness to assist across all areas of the site
• Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

Highly Regarded

• Food manufacturing or food processing experience
• Forklift Licence
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence
• Candidates approximately 2+ years post-apprenticeship looking to further develop their maintenance experience
