Job summary

Diageo Australia is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our site in Huntingwood, NSW 2148. You will be part of a skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance team supporting blending, packaging and dispatch operations.

The role focuses on hazardous area installations and safety-aligned electrical work across the site. You will deliver preventative maintenance, diagnose faults quickly, and contribute to continuous improvement while working with SAP CMMS and diverse teams in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Licence (essential).
• Hands-on experience in an industrial or FMCG maintenance environment.
• Experience with hazardous area electrical installations (desirable).
• Strong fault-finding, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort reading and interpreting electrical schematics/drawings.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA-controlled equipment, variable speed drives, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance to electrical equipment in line with the site maintenance strategy.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment to minimise downtime and improve OEE.
• Provide front-line electrical support across blending, packaging and dispatch operations.
• Support and contribute to root cause analysis, sharing knowledge and coaching others to prevent repeat issues.
• Lead and contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives that improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs year-on-year.
• Support production lines through an electrical call-out roster (typical day/afternoon shifts) alongside fellow electricians and fitters.
• Use CMMS systems (such as SAP) to accurately capture maintenance activity, data and insights.

Confidence reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings6. Proven experience (5+ years) working with PLC and SCADA-controlled equipment, variable speed drives, pneumatics and hydraulics7. Comfort using digital tools, including email, word processing and CMMS platforms such as SAP8. The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multi-trade team9. A proactive mindset, curiosity for continuous improvement and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving FMCG environmentNice to have (but not essential):1.
