Job summary

Ridley is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician for our Lara site in Australia. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing and improving plant equipment to keep the facility safe, reliable and efficient.

You will work with Maintenance, Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement across the site. You will bring an Electrical Trade qualification and A-Class Electrical Licence, strong fault-finding abilities, and experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors

Qualifications

  • Electrical Trade qualification and current A-Class Electrical Licence.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial control systems.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • A current Driver's Licence.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA or industrial instrumentation is advantageous.
  • Experience using CMMS is advantageous.
  • Five or more years' experience in a manufacturing or process environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
  • Install, maintain and commission electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Perform fault finding on motors, PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation and associated equipment.
  • Complete planned maintenance activities through the site's maintenance management system.
  • Identify equipment improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Lara site.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving plant equipment to ensure our manufacturing facility operates safely, reliably and efficiently. Working closely with the Maintenance, Production and Engineering teams, you'll help minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement across the site.

What You Will Be Doing

About You

You are a qualified Electrician with strong fault-finding skills who enjoys solving problems and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take pride in working safely and delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

  • An Electrical Trade qualification and current A-Class Electrical Licence.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial control systems.

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
