Job summary

Ridley is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for our Lara site. You will maintain, repair and improve plant equipment to keep the manufacturing facility safe, reliable and efficient, collaborating with Maintenance, Production and Engineering teams.

You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, diagnose faults, install and commission electrical systems, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and valid A-class licence.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Install, maintain and commission electrical equipment and control systems.
• Perform fault finding on motors, PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation and associated equipment.
• Complete planned maintenance activities through the site's maintenance management system.
• Identify equipment improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to improve reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to support safe and efficient operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Lara site.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving plant equipment to ensure our manufacturing facility operates safely, reliably and efficiently. Working closely with the Maintenance, Production and Engineering teams, you'll help minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement across the site.

What You Will Be Doing

About You

You are a qualified Electrician with strong fault-finding skills who enjoys solving problems and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take pride in working safely and delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• An Electrical Trade qualification and current A-Class Electrical Licence.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial control systems.
• The ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• A current Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA or industrial instrumentation.
• Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Five or more years' experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
