Job summary

Sanitarium Health Food Company in New South Wales seeks an experienced industrial electrician to maintain and improve our FMCG manufacturing line. You will support preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and assist with new installations in a fast-paced setting.

The role involves reading electrical drawings, using a CMMS, and working within PLC-guided systems. We offer an afternoon/night shift, a rotating roster, and a friendly, safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical Trade with relevant qualifications.
• Experience preferred in FMCG manufacturing.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance, breakdowns and new installations.
• Strong fault-finding and reading electrical drawings.
• Competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Understand PLC operation and use of PC-based CMMS.
• Communicate with management about equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Conduct breakdown repairs and install new equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Operate and maintain the CMMS.
• Work on Afternoon Shift 3pm-11pm and rotating rosters as needed.
• Ensure safety and process-driven work practices.
• Support forklift operations and safety where required.

We are particularly interested in Electrician's open to working fixed afternoon or night shift or on a rotating roster.

The successful applicant will demonstrate proven knowledge, skills, attention to detail and be an effective communicator in a team environment.

The successful candidate(s) will:

• Have relevant qualifications in the Electrical Trade.
• Preferred work experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry.
• Be able to work independently and proactively on preventive maintenance, breakdowns and new installation work.
• Good fault-finding skills and the ability to read electrical drawings.
• Be competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Have a basic understanding of how a PLC operates
• Be familiar with and able to use a computerised Maintenance System
• Communicate with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issues
• Able to work fixed Afternoon Shift Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm.
• Be safety-focused and process-driven.
• Have a forklift licence or be willing to obtain it.
