Job summary

DRA Global is seeking experienced CHPP Maintenance Fitters to join the Central Queensland site on a full-time max-term contract (to Oct 2028) with a 7/7 FIFO roster and camp accommodation. Flights from Townsville or Rockhampton are provided.

You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP plant equipment, maintain records, support planning, and uphold safety standards while working with a dynamic crew in a remote, resource-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance in a similar industry.
  • Experience with fixed plant hydraulic systems is highly regarded.
  • Current Coal Board Medical.
  • Current Standard 11.
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Valid Right to Work in Australia.
  • SARC Cert (Safety Access Rail Corridor) - Highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated safety focus with the ability to work safely as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant performance.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records and documentation relating to inspections, maintenance activities, modifications, and repairs.
  • Provide operational leadership when stepping into the Supervisor role, including coordinating maintenance activities, allocating tasks, and supporting the crew to achieve safe and efficient outcomes.
  • Assist with planning and prioritising maintenance tasks to minimise plant downtime and support production targets.
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring work is carried out in accordance with site safety systems, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and maintenance practices through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and support the general upkeep of all areas of the CHPP, Train Loadout, and Yard.

About The Role

DRA Operations are currently seeking experienced CHPP Maintenance Fitters to join our core team on site in Central Queensland. These positions will be offered on Full Time Max Term (October 2028) contracts and will see you work a 7/7 roster with flights from Townsville or Rockhampton provided and camp accommodation whilst on site.

Whilst Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary FIFO hubs we encourage applicants from all regional Queensland communities to apply.

About You

Our ideal candidate is a positive and safety-conscious team player with a strong work ethic who posses the following;

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Relevant experience from a fixed plant maintenance background in a similar industry
  • Experience with fixed plant hyd systems - highly regarded
  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Current Standard 11
  • Valid Australian Drivers License
  • Valid Right to Work in Australia
