Job summary

Australian Staffing Agency is seeking reliable Mail Sorters and Handline Operators to join busy mail house and production environments across South East Melbourne, Bayswater and Braeside. With the Christmas ramp-up, there are ongoing opportunities for the right candidates to support increased mail volumes.

We are looking for candidates with experience in mail sorting or production environments, capable of repetitive work with high accuracy, and willing to work dayshift or afternoon shifts.

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Mail Sorters and Handline Operators to join busy mail house and production environments across South East Melbourne - Bayswater and Braeside.

With the Christmas season approaching, our clients are ramping up production and require additional staff to support increased mail volumes.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy fast-paced, repetitive work and can maintain a high level of accuracy while working to daily production targets.

Previous experience within the mail industry, Australia Post, mail houses, postal services, direct mail, or production environments is highly regarded.

Dayshift and Afternoon Shift available, with ongoing opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Sorting and processing high volumes of mail for distribution and dispatch

Manual handline duties including folding, inserting, matching, collating and packing

Preparing letters, statements, promotional materials and campaign packs

Sorting incoming and outgoing mail according to delivery requirements

Checking mail for accuracy and ensuring items are processed correctly

Packaging and preparing completed mail for dispatch

Assisting with general mail production and fulfilment duties

Working efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in mail sorting, handline, mail houses, Australia Post, production, fulfilment or similar environments

Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work towards production targets and deadlines

Reliable transport - MUST have reliable transport to and from work

Valid Police Check - MUST have a valid Police Check or be willing to obtain one

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods

Flexibility to assist across sorting, handline and general production duties as required

Highly Desirable Experience

Mail house or direct mail campaign production

Handline, collation, inserting, folding or fulfilment

Print finishing or dispatch

Warehouse or production experience

Basic computer and data entry skills
