Job summary

Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is seeking a dedicated Machinery Operator to join our Avon Downs team in central Queensland. You will operate graders and other machinery to maintain roads, carry out general maintenance, and support station duties on a dynamic cattle environment.

Experience with graders, loaders, and excavators is advantageous; MC licenses are a plus. Strong communication and time management in a collaborative setting will help you succeed on this remote, station-based

• Licenses to operate the machinery applicable.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate grader to maintain station roads and fire breaks.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
• Drive trucks (side tipper/machinery float).
• Conduct property observations.
• Follow general safety guidelines when operating machinery.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
• Undertake general station duties as directed by the manager.

We are looking for a dedicated Machinery Operator to join our team in Avon Downs. Avon Downs is situated approximately 70km west of Camooweal, Queensland and 250km Northwest of Mount Isa.

Key Responsibilities

• Grader operation – Maintain station roads, and fire breaks using the grading guidelines.
• Carry out General Maintenance & Upkeep of machinery.
• Truck driving (Side Tippers/machinery float)
• Conduct general property observations.
• Follow the general guidelines when operating machinery.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
• You will be required to undertake general station duties at the discretion of the manager.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience operating Graders, Loaders, and Excavators is an advantage.
• MC license (Not essential, is an advantage).
• Appropriate licenses to operate the machinery.
• Good communicator and good time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
