Job summary

AWX is seeking reliable, mechanically minded Machine Operators for a busy steel reinforcement manufacturing facility in Eagle Farm. These casual roles offer temp-to-perm opportunities, with training provided to build on your existing production and reinforcement experience.

Day shift and afternoon shift are available with competitive hourly rates, overtime and a strong safety culture. You will join an experienced team with solid training and support, including staff with 14 years of service.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production machinery to process, cut and bend reinforcing steel.
• Background working with reinforcing steel or reinforcement products.
• Mechanical aptitude and a reliable approach to work.
• Overhead gantry crane experience is advantageous.
• Full PPE and Australian working rights.

AWX is seeking reliable, mechanically minded Machine Operators for a busy steel reinforcement manufacturing facility in Eagle Farm. Our client supplies reinforcing steel products for residential, commercial and civil construction projects.

These casual roles offer temp-to-perm opportunities, with training provided to build on your existing production and reinforcement experience.

Hours & Pay

• Day shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm | $40.17/hr
• Afternoon shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm | $46.20/hr

About the Role

• Operate machinery to process, cut and bend reinforcing steel.
• Handle materials and check finished products for quality.
• Follow production instructions and safe work procedures.

What You'll Need

• Previous production machine operating experience.
• A background working with reinforcing steel or reinforcement products.
• Mechanical aptitude and a reliable approach to work.
• Overhead gantry crane experience is advantageous.
• Full-length PPE, including long sleeves, long pants and steel-cap boots.
• Full ongoing Australian working rights.
