Job summary

Programmed is seeking experienced Machine Operators for our manufacturing facility in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You will operate brake press machinery to bend, fold and cut metal components, reading engineering drawings and SOPs to meet daily production targets.

While qualifications are not essential, metal fabrication experience and CNC programming are highly regarded. You will join a skilled production team committed to safety and quality in a long‑term, Monday to Friday role.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators for ongoing opportunities with our client at their manufacturing facility in the Eastern suburbs.

These are hands‑on manufacturing roles operating brake press machinery to produce high‑quality vehicle protection components. The successful candidates will work as part of a skilled production team, bending, folding and cutting metal components in line with engineering drawings, SOPs and daily production requirements.

Whilst qualifications are not necessary for the role, metal fabrication and brake press experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate brake press machinery to bend, fold and cut metal components
• Set up and operate brake press tools and dies
• Produce premium vehicle protection products to required quality standards
• Complete First Offs and Last Offs in accordance with quality procedures
• Read and understand Engineering Drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Meet daily production schedules and production targets
• Carry out general manufacturing and fabrication dutiesMaintain machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Ensure products meet required quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation
• Attend daily toolbox meetings
• Complete general housekeeping duties
• Follow OH&S policies and procedures, including wearing correct PPE

Requirements

• Previous experiencing CNC programming and operation is highly regarded
• Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality
