Job summary

Lite n' Easy in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our production team at the Banyo facility. You will operate Mondini sealing machines, manage daily tasks and help ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout each run.

You will work Monday to Friday shifts, from 5:00am to 1:06pm or 1:00pm to 9:06pm, in a cold environment (maximum 8 degrees). A strong team focus, attention to detail and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume setting.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and SOPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team-oriented with reliability and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mondini sealing machine and perform date coding and X-ray checks.
• Control product flow via IBEX entry/exit to freezer units.
• Follow production schedules and SOP instructions.
• Ensure proper ingredient levels and packaging on the line.
• Conduct regular quality checks throughout runs.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and maintain line cleanliness.
• Replenish materials and remove waste as needed during runs.
• Complete changeovers and cleaning requirements as needed.

As a result, we are looking for experienced Machine Operatorsto join our production team based at our facility in Banyo.The primary responsibility of the role is to efficiently operate equipment, manage day to day tasks and ensure smooth running of production while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Shift Times are Monday to Friday:

• Morning Shift - 5:00am to 1:06pm
• Afternoon Shift - 1:00pm to 9:06pm

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation - Mondini sealing machine, date coding, x-ray
• Machine Operation - IBEX - control of product going in and out of freezer unit
• Follow production schedules and instructions
• Ensure the line is set up with appropriate level of ingredients and packaging
• Conduct regular quality checks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) throughout the run
• Troubleshoot any issues with machine as necessary
• Replenish rewind or cartons as needed during the run
• Remove waste from the line as needed
• Ensure the line is regularly cleaned and maintained
• Conduct changeover and clean requirements as needed

About You

• Machine operator experience in the FMCG industry - prior experience in food manufacturing highly regarded
• You have the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Excellent communication, literacy and numerical skills
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Accurately complete documents for compliance
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues
• You can work in a cold environment - our factory is maximum 8 degrees Celsius
• Work as part of the team
