Job summary

Visy is hiring a full-time production operator in Campbellfield, Victoria, to join our busy manufacturing team on a rotating day and afternoon roster. You will operate cardboard packaging production machines and assist with job changes to keep lines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include performing quality inspections, maintaining housekeeping, and contributing to a safe working environment. Experience in manufacturing is preferred, with a proactive attitude toward learning and teamwork

Job description

Reporting to the Shift Manager, this role will be full time permanent working rotating weekly roster of day and afternoon shift with our busy production team in Campbellfield.

What You Will Do:

• Operating production machines and associated equipment for the manufacture of cardboard packaging
• Assist with job changes and associated tasks
• Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
• Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team
• Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team

What You Will Bring to the Team:

To be successful in this role you will have to be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.

• You will be fit and able to lift up to 20kgs.
• Have strong interpersonal skills (clear communication, self-confidence, teamwork and collaboration),
• The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
• You’ll ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and hands on experience operating machines.

Most importantly is your attitude, you'll be performance driven, be adaptable to changes in the workplace and be keen to learn new skills, processes, and procedures.
