Job summary

REA Group is seeking an Associate Machine Learning Engineer in the AI Experience team within the Consumer Experience division. You will help build intelligent features to personalise property discovery and power recommendations across REA’s web and app platforms.

You’ll collaborate with senior ML engineers and data scientists on model training, evaluation and deployment, while improving AI pipelines and integrating with product teams to deliver impactful features to millions of users.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with ML, data science or software projects (internships, coursework or early roles).
• Familiar with Python and ML libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of ML solutions for REA.
• Apply new AI/ML technologies in products used by millions.
• Build and maintain ML models (deep learning, collaborative filtering, regression, decision trees).
• Develop and deploy ML pipelines for batch and real-time use cases.
• Work with cloud-based tools/frameworks (Python, Docker, GCP or AWS).
• Participate in model evaluation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior ML engineers and data scientists to move ideas to production.
• Work with product teams to support AI-powered features.
