REA Group in Melbourne (Richmond) is seeking an Associate Machine Learning Engineer to help build intelligent features for property discovery and personalised experiences. You’ll work on recommendation models powering REA’s web and app platforms.

Collaborate with senior ML engineers, train and deploy models, maintain AI pipelines, and apply cutting‑edge techniques. A strong Python background and curiosity for AI are essential. This is a permanent role with opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/Math/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on ML, data science or software development projects.
• Familiarity with Python and ML libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Understanding of ML concepts (regression, classification, recommender systems).
• Interest in applying ML to real-world problems like personalised recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of ML solutions for REA.
• Apply new AI/ML techniques in products used by millions.
• Build and maintain recommendation and prediction models.
• Develop and deploy ML pipelines for batch and real-time use cases.
• Work with cloud tools like Python, Docker, and GCP or AWS.
• Participate in model evaluation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior ML engineers to move ideas to production.
• Support AI-powered product features with product teams.
• Continue to learn and grow ML skills with mentoring.
