Job summary

CommBank’s Group Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team is seeking a Manager to contribute to our Group M&A department within Group Strategy. You will lead end-to-end execution of mergers, acquisitions and divestments, including due diligence and risk assessment.

You will partner with senior stakeholders across the bank, manage workstreams, perform financial analysis and valuations, and prepare presentations for Boards and committees on flagship transactions shaping the Group’s future.

Qualifications

• Experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development,transaction services or related corporate finance environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed financial analysis and valuation work, including developing financial models.
• Draft presentations and papers for senior stakeholders, committees and Boards within the CBA Group.
• Understand the strategies of the individual Business Units and assess fit with the overall strategy.
• Independently manage specific workstreams within M&A transactions.
• Liaise with Business Unit and support function partners.
• Assist in leveraging external resources e.g. investment banking advisors.
