Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Light Vehicle (LV) Fitter to support maintenance at Federation Mine. This permanent role offers a 2/2 roster with FIFO & DIDO options, and a stable long‑term opportunity on a major development project.

Preferred candidates are tradespeople with strong underground LV experience, capable of diagnostics and safe, independent workmanship while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic (essential)
• Experience maintaining light vehicles in an underground mining environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Valid manual driver’s licence
• Commitment to safety and compliance with site procedures
• Ability to work rotating rosters (2/2, days and nights)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on underground light vehicles
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs in a timely manner
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Complete pre-start checks, service sheets, and maintenance reports
• Ensure all work is completed in line with site and statutory requirements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard
• Identify and report hazards, defects, and improvement opportunities
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams
