Job summary

Ink Joinery in Mulgrave (Sydney) is seeking an experienced Joinery Draftsperson to turn architectural and interior design documentation into production-ready shop drawings. You will produce detailed joinery shop drawings, set up jobs in Mozaik for CNC, detail curved elements and hardware, and liaise with clients, builders and designers to finalise selections before manufacture.

Qualifications

• Joinery drafting experience essential, ideally in high-end residential or commercial work.
• Strong knowledge of Mozaik or similar cabinet design package.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations and specifications.
• Sound cabinetry construction understanding; a cabinetmaking background is a plus.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with genuine design and quality finishes interest.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed joinery shop drawings from architectural and interior designer drawing packs.
• Draw and set up jobs in Mozaik, ready to send directly to the CNC.
• Detail curved joinery, curved corners, radius paneling, feature bar backs and laminated forms.
• Detail veneer and timber laminate work, including grain direction, book matching and edging.
• Specify Blum hardware, including LEGRABOX, REVEGO pocket door systems, hinges and drawer systems.
• Detail steel, glass, mirror, stone and concealed LED lighting interfaces within joinery.
• Design cabinetry to suit 3600 x 1800 sheet nesting and efficient factory workflow.
• Liaise directly with clients, builders, architects and designers to finalize selections and details.
• Issue drawings for approval, manage revisions and track client sign-off before manufacture.
• Work closely with the factory floor so drawings build cleanly the first time.
• Assist with site measures and check site dimensions against drawings.
