Job summary

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast seeks a Groups Reservations Agent to manage and coordinate the resort's group accommodation business from booking through guest arrival. You will report to the Reservations Manager and handle high-value, high-volume group reservations, ensuring accuracy and exceptional service.

Collaborating with Sales, Conference & Events, Revenue, Front Office, Housekeeping and Finance, you will support standard group processes and maintain guest

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel Reservations environment, with Group Reservations desirable.
• Experience managing high-volume bookings and multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of Group, FIT and Inbound Reservations or ability to develop expertise across these segments.
• Experience using Opera PMS, Holidex or similar hotel reservation systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Group Reservations from initial booking through to arrival with accuracy and exceptional service.
• Coordinate high-value and high-volume group bookings, including rooming lists, allocations and VIP requirements.
• Ensure reservations follow contracted rates, cut-off dates, payment terms and cancellation policies.
• Monitor group pickup against blocks and deadlines, identify risks and opportunities for revenue.
• Liaise with Sales, Events, Revenue, Front Office, Housekeeping and Finance to communicate requirements.
• Process reservations, amendments and cancellations in Opera and related systems.
• Review arrivals to ensure guest preferences, transfers and special requests are recorded.
• Support FIT and Inbound Reservations during peak periods with system knowledge.
