Job summary

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is seeking a creative and commercially minded Conference & Events Manager to shape how the venue is seen and experienced.

You will build client relationships, oversee event delivery, coordinate conferences and group bookings, and work with Sales, Revenue, F&B and Banquets to maximise revenue.

You will lead and develop the events team, champion guest feedback, and ensure every experience reflects Sofitel's luxury service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Conference & Events, sales or a similar hospitality environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth and upselling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Conference & Events function to deliver high-quality events from enquiry through to completion.
• Coordinate conferences, meetings and group events with internal teams.
• Develop client relationships and seek opportunities to grow repeat business.
• Coach and support Ambassadors, fostering a high-performing team culture.
