Job summary

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is seeking a passionate Bartender for Champagne Bar in the heart of Sydney. Deliver cocktails, champagne, wine and other beverages with French flair and exceptional hospitality.

Bring premium beverage knowledge, guest service excellence, and a team spirit. RSA certified with full Australian working rights; availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred to maintain our high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or beverage service in premium or high-volume environments.
• Passion for cocktails, champagne, wine and guest service.
• Strong beverage knowledge with ability to make recommendations.
• Attention to detail and consistency in presentation.
• Calm, organized and attentive during busy service periods.
• RSA certificate and full Australian working rights are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, champagne, wine, spirits and other beverages to Sofitel standards.
• Deliver warm, engaging and personalised service to every guest.
• Confidently recommend beverages based on guest preferences and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Maintain excellent presentation of the bar, glassware, equipment and service areas.
• Ensure beverages are prepared consistently, accurately and efficiently.
• Take orders, process transactions and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Assist with stock replenishment, stocktakes, ordering and minimising wastage.
• Maintain responsible service of alcohol standards at all times.
• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns professionally and take ownership where possible.
• Look for opportunities to create memorable moments and exceed guest expectations.
