Chanel is seeking an Alterationist for our Fashion Boutique in Market Street, Sydney. The role focuses on precise garment alterations, fabric insights and collaboration with Fashion Advisors to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

You will work under the Boutique Manager, ensuring quality, timely service and maintaining Chanel’s reputation for craftsmanship and luxury standards. The position emphasizes client engagement in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in garment alterations with attention to detail and precision.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, draping, fabrication and pressing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to service clients in a luxury boutique.

Responsibilities

• Complete requested garment alterations within specified timelines and to high quality standards.
• Check pinning, pressing, preparation, and fitting on mannequins before client fittings.
• Learn seasonal collections to understand silhouettes and recommended alteration methods.
• Ensure alteration schedule is monitored and communicated to the team to deliver an optimal client experience.
