Job summary

Viva Energy Australia is seeking a motivated Shift Operator for the Lara LPG Terminal in Victoria. This permanent full-time onsite role involves rotating day and night shifts to ensure safe storage and distribution of LPG across Victoria.

You will operate and monitor terminal infrastructure, coordinate product movements, perform safety checks and troubleshoot issues, contributing to reliability and continuous improvement in a critical energy asset.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or technical background preferred.
• Experience operating industrial plant or heavy industry equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously on rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor LPG terminal infrastructure for safe operations.
• Coordinate product movements and maintain product quality.
• Conduct routine safety checks and equipment monitoring.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues to maintain performance.
• Record keeping and data reporting.
• Manage safe loading of road tankers.
• Support maintenance and capital projects, including contractor management.
• Ensure safety of employees and contractors.
• Maintain terminal security and emergency preparedness.
• Contribute to safety and continuous improvement.
