Optiver is seeking a Software Developer Intern to collaborate with our engineers on latency-critical solutions that empower our fast-paced trading systems. During a 10-week program, you will gain hands-on experience while building robust, scalable components and learning how technology is applied to quantitative trading.

Qualifications

Penultimate university student.
Australian or New Zealand citizen or eligible to work in Australia.
Studying Computer Science or a technical engineering degree.
Strong problem-solving skills and appetite for low-latency systems.
Willingness to learn and collaborate with traders and engineers.
Experience with OO design concepts; C++, Java or Python for assessment.

Responsibilities

Contribute to latency-critical software developed with experienced engineers.
Develop and test code that feeds into real-time trading systems.
Participate in the full development lifecycle from design to production.
