Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Long Term Planner Assets – Port based in Perth to develop and manage the long-term maintenance planning framework. You will integrate long-term, medium-term and shutdown planning, contributing to the Maintenance Cost Budget and Major Events Calendar.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Supply and Finance to optimise resources and ensure reliability across Hancock Iron Ore’s assets. Strong SAP PM and ACLM experience, plus advanced Excel skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) including maintenance plans, task lists, BOMs and measuring points.
• Proven track record in long‑term or strategic maintenance planning, budgeting and cost management.
• Proficient in using ACLM for developing and managing maintenance cost budgets and forecasts.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Long-Term Planning framework.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Supply and Finance to ensure integrated planning.
• Drive improvements to the work management system and lead improvement projects.
• Maintain SAP Master Data and ensure data integrity for technical objects and cost elements.
• Conduct cost analyses and risk reviews to inform budgets and cost optimisation.
• Develop annual zero-based Maintenance Cost Budget with life-of-mine view.
• Manage monthly reforecasting of maintenance costs aligned to Medium-Term Plan.
• Plan major works with long-lead procurement and coordinate with vendors and Execution team.
• Define shutdown requirements and ensure structured handover to the execution team.
