Redpath Mining Contractors and Engineers is seeking experienced Long Hole Production Drillers for the OK Decline Underground Gold Mine on a 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth. You will operate long hole rigs underground, drill per mine plans, conduct pre-start checks, and maintain high safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong team collaboration, a solid safety culture, and the ability to work independently in a demanding underground environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating long hole production drill rigs underground.
• Experience in underground hard rock or gold mining.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Redpath Mining Contractors and Engineers OK Decline Gold Mine | 7/7 FIFO Roster ex Perth

Redpath Mining is seeking experienced and safety-focused Long Hole Production Drillers to join our team at the OK Decline Underground Gold Mine. Working on a balanced 7 days on / 7 days off FIFO roster from Perth, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing underground mining operation with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

About the Role

Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of long hole production drill rigs to deliver planned production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and drilling quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate long hole production drill rigs in an underground gold mining environment.
• Drill production rings in accordance with mine plans and design specifications.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine operator maintenance.
• Ensure drilling accuracy to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Identify, report and assist in rectifying equipment defects and workplace hazards.
• Maintain compliance with site safety procedures, standards and statutory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with underground mining crews to achieve production objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience operating long hole production drill rigs underground.
• Experience within underground hard rock or gold mining operations.
• Strong understanding of underground mining practices and safety systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to working safely and promoting a positive safety culture.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience operating Sandvik and/or Epiroc long hole drill rigs.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• Working at Heights certification.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Additional underground mining competencies and qualifications.
