Job summary

Greyhound Australia in Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Coach Captain to highway-drive our local and regional scheduled services. This full-time role offers independence, safety-first operations and the chance to work on some of Australia's most iconic routes.

You will hold a current HR driver's licence and Driver’s Authority, have proven long-haul driving experience, a strong safety mindset, fatigue management skills, and the ability to stay calm and professional with passengers on busy

Qualifications

Must hold a current HR driver's licence.
A current Driver’s Authority / Endorsement.
Proven coach, bus or long-haul driving experience.
Strong safety mindset and fitness for duty.
Ability to manage fatigue and rosters.
Confidence working independently on long-haul journeys.
Sound judgement and calm under pressure.
Welcoming approach with passengers.

Responsibilities

Safely operating coaches across local and regional scheduled services.
Handling luggage and freight safely as part of scheduled services.
Pre-start checks, log books, fault sheets, journey records and ticketing.
Managing fatigue in line with Basic Fatigue Management requirements.
Creating a calm, confident and positive customer experience from departure to arrival.
