Job summary

Greyhound Australia is seeking a self-reliant, safety‑minded Coach Captain based in Brisbane to operate iconic long‑haul routes on open roads.

You will manage pre‑start checks, ticketing, luggage handling and journey records while delivering a calm, confident passenger experience from departure to arrival.

The role requires a current HR licence, a Driver’s Authority/Endorsement and proven coach or long‑haul driving experience in rostered, remote services.

Qualifications

• Experience as a driver on long-haul routes or coach services.
• Strong safety mindset and fitness for duty.
• Ability to manage fatigue and work across rosters.
• Calm, confident and welcoming with passengers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating coaches across local and regional scheduled services.
• Handling luggage and freight safely as part of scheduled services.
• Managing pre-start checks, log books, fault sheets and journey records.
• Maintaining safety and compliance with fatigue management requirements.
• Creating a positive passenger experience from departure through arrival.
