Job summary

BlueScope Steel Limited in Western Australia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator at our Forrestfield site. You will provide reporting, forecasting and planning support to ensure on-time delivery of products by road, rail and sea.

You will liaise with carriers, dispatch and planning teams, generate performance reports and work with transport, sales and warehouse colleagues to schedule cost-efficient deliveries. This is a 12-month fixed-term role.

Qualifications

• A proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external key stake holders.
• An aptitude in data analysis and a proactive approach to adopting and utilizing new technologies.
• Good critical thinking skills.
• A strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in an (at times) high pressure environment.
• A continuous drivein improving procedures and process.

Responsibilities

• be a main contact between carriers, dispatch points and planning teams, facilitating relationships that yield continuous improvement
• work with our operations & planning teams to provide vital data used for processes and planning of our products before they are distributed to our customers via road and rail
• generate reports to effectively monitor warehouse performance and identify any opportunities for improvement
• working closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, sales and warehouse teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers
