Job summary

Colonial Freight Lines is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead our transport and logistics team in Perth. You will drive rosters, oversee distribution, and ensure safe, efficient vehicle movements while maintaining strong communication with drivers and customers.

The ideal candidate brings transport administration experience, strong planning skills, and a collaborative mindset. A relevant qualification is highly regarded and forklift or truck licences are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration or logistics is highly regarded.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel is required.
• Certificate or Degree in Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) is highly regarded.
• Forklift or Truck licence are advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Logistics to provide support.
• Prepare and manage weekly rosters.
• Oversee the local distribution team.
• Verify driver trip and fatigue documentation.
• Monitor fatigue and records for compliance.
• Ensure compliance across the logistics team.
• Manage vehicle movements and equipment utilisation.
• Maintain communication with drivers and team members.
• Update the Job Management System as needed.
• Liaise with customers and build rapport.
