Due to a planned business transition, this high-level opportunity has become available, reporting to the Group Director. As the most senior staff member in the business, you will lead the operational and logistics function, transforming it into a high-efficiency, data-driven division. Based in Tomago, you will oversee a fleet of 25 truck-and-trailer combinations across four depots.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the logistics team to deliver results, driving continuous improvements in Safety, Service, and Productivity.
  • Drive ERP integration, specifically leading the transition of logistics functions into the Octane system to improve automation and visibility.
  • Execute fleet optimization programs to improve fuel efficiency and reduce operational overheads.
  • Manage operational performance, coaching and mentoring the warehouse and logistics teams through a period of change.
  • Actively ensure a safe working environment, maintaining stringent Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and HSSE compliance standards.
The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
  • Extensive experience in a senior logistics or operations role, specifically managing heavy vehicles and distributed depots.
  • Exposure to Fuel or Dangerous Goods is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to lead systems change, including implementing or optimizing logistics modules within an ERP system.
  • Experience with performance management and the ability to manage "old-school" workforces through strategic shifts.
  • Resolution and results-focused mindset with the ability to operate autonomously as a "self-starter".
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Sage 300 or similar enterprise software is critical.
