Job summary

Swing Gifts Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time, permanent Logistics Manager for our head office in Moorabbin Airport, Melbourne. You will coordinate the movement of customer orders from receipt through dispatch, working closely with Sales and Warehouse teams to oversee order flow, freight, stock movements and international shipments.

This hands-on administration role requires strong organisation and a proactive approach in a busy wholesale environment, with flexibility in hours as described.

Qualifications

• This role requires proven experience as a Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Manager.
• Experience in wholesale/homewares or a related consumer goods industry is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory management, freight and distribution.
• Experience managing domestic and international freight and containerised imports.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full sales order cycle, including order processing, outstanding quotes and back orders.
• Prepare daily picking slips based on customer delivery requirements and stock availability.
• Coordinate the flow and prioritisation of orders through the warehouse.
• Arrange and coordinate domestic freight, including larger and specialised deliveries.
• Obtain freight quotes and manage relationships with freight providers.
• Liaise with major customers regarding stock availability and outstanding deliveries.
• Coordinate inbound shipments from international suppliers through to warehouse receipt.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, import and other relevant documentation.
• Manage customer-specific requirements, including QA, labelling and packaging requirements.

We are seeking afull-time, permanent Logistics Managerto join our team, based at our head office inMoorabbin Airport.

Hours are currently flexible, with a typical7:30am start and 4:00pm finish.

About the role

This role plays a key part in coordinating the movement of customer orders from order receipt through to warehouse dispatch and delivery.

Working closely with the Sales and Warehouse teams, the Logistics Manager will oversee order flow, freight, stock movements, international shipments and various customer and operational requirements.

This is a hands-on administration role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy wholesale environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full sales order cycle, including order processing, outstanding quotes and back orders.
• Prepare daily picking slips based on customer delivery requirements and stock availability.
• Coordinate the flow and prioritisation of orders through the warehouse.
• Arrange and coordinate domestic freight, including larger and specialised deliveries.
• Obtain freight quotes and manage relationships with freight providers.
• Liaise with major customers regarding stock availability and outstanding deliveries.
• Coordinate stock transfers between warehouses and virtual warehouses.
• Coordinate inbound shipments from international suppliers through to warehouse receipt.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, import and other relevant documentation.
• Manage customer-specific requirements, including QA, labelling and packaging requirements.
• Prepare reports for Sales Representatives, including outstanding quotes and back orders.
• Key purchase orders from international suppliers and maintain accurate system records.
• Support showroom launches, product labelling and other operational requirements.
• Coordinate logistics, freight and equipment requirements for Trade Fairs.
• Provide general office and operational support as required.

Ideal Background

• Experience as a Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Manager.
• Experience withinwholesale, retail, homewares, furniture, consumer goods or a related industryis highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory management, freight and distribution.
• Experience managing domestic and/or international freight and containerised imports.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, product-driven wholesale environment.
• Good computer and systems skills, with experience using ERP or inventory systems an advantage.
