Job summary

Bread Social is a growing wholesale bakery delivering across Northern Rivers through to Brisbane, with retail and café locations. We seek a Distribution & Logistics Manager to coordinate our deliveries, oversee the fleet, packers and drivers, and keep day-to-day logistics on track.

The role is hands-on in a fast-paced operation with early starts, a busy schedule, and shifts often from 1:00am to 10:30am. Weekend availability (Sat/Sun) is required.

Job description

Bread Social is looking for a Distribution & Logistics Manager to help keep our delivery operation moving!

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced wholesale bakery business. You'll be responsible for helping coordinate our wholesale deliveries, including overseeing our fleet, packers and drivers, and day-to-day logistics, while ensuring the many moving parts of our operation stay on track.

With early starts, a busy delivery schedule and a fleet operating across multiple locations, we're looking for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused and a gold standard for customer service.

This role requires Saturday and Sunday availability, with shifts generally operating between 1:00am and 10:30am.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team & Daily Operations

Support the day-to-day coordination of drivers and deliveries

Assist with driver performance and rostering

Help resolve day-to-day logistics issues

Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance

Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance

Liaise with mechanics, suppliers and service providers

Follow up repairs and maintenance requirements

Assist with vehicle breakdowns and urgent issues

Working as Part of the Team

Work closely with drivers, managers and other departments

Keep track of tasks and follow things through

Jump in and help where needed within the logistics operation

ABOUT YOU

The right candidate would be highly organised and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once. You're someone who doesn't let things fall through the cracks and is confident following issue resolution from end-to-end.

You will ideally have:

Excellent attention to detail

A proactive and solutions-focused approach

The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers, suppliers and service providers

Confidence using computer systems and administrative tools

Experience in fleet coordination, transport, logistics, vehicle maintenance or a similar operational environment would be highly regarded.
