Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Commercial Analyst to turn operational data into commercial insights across our logistics operations in Western Australia. You will work with the Commercial Manager, account management and operations to support weekly reporting, analyse performance and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.

You’ll handle revenue and cost analysis by customer and segment, model data, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting while partnering with Perth-based and remote teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Commercial Analyst or in a similar role, ideally within logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field.
• Strong reconciliation and financial accuracy skills.
• Experience with large datasets in Excel, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in data modelling, analysis and stakeholder reporting.
• Comfortable using Power BI Reporting Suite, or willing to develop your capability.
• Understanding of standard accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
• A willingness to learn, progress and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the consolidation of weekly reporting and provide commercial insights into operational financial performance.
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the Commercial Manager.
• Analyse revenue at customer and segment level, identifying trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Perth-based and remote Operations Managers to understand weekly financial performance.
• Provide timely and effective analysis to various business units across Centurion looking at key business metrics including volume, price and mix analysis.
• Assist with improvement, innovation and systems projects.
• Support operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Analyse fleet assets and subcontractor spend.
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for business streams.
• Maintain labour and fleet dashboards.
