Job summary

Rapid Ascent Adventure Event Management in Torquay, Victoria, seeks a Logistics and Event Manager for permanent full-time work starting January 2027. This role leads pre-event logistics, permits and delivery for 10+ events annually, working from our Torquay office.

You’ll secure permits, manage contractors, organise infrastructure, coordinate volunteers and travel, and support course design and expo setup. A hands-on, well-organised candidate with strong relationship building will thrive.

• Coordinating crew and staff travel.

Logistics and Event Manager - Rapid Ascent Adventure Event Management

Torquay, Victoria | Permanent full time | Start January 2027 (flexible)

Rapid Ascent is looking for a Logistics and Event Manager to take ownership of the logistics and behind the scenes tasks that make event day happen. Working from our office in Torquay, you’ll be a key team member involved with the pre-event organisation, permitting and delivery of 10+ events around Australia each year.

Key responsibilities include:

• Securing permits, approvals and risk management sign-off with councils, national parks and other authorities
• Sourcing and appointing contractors such as medical, first aid and traffic management
• Sourcing and booking temporary infrastructure and signage
• Managing the volunteer program, from first contact to the post-event thank you
• Organising entertainment, food and hospitality at events
• Coordinating crew and staff travel
• Supporting the Event Director on course design, expo set-up and race delivery

To be successful in the role you'll be well organised and able to work effectively under pressure, have confidence building relationships with councils, contractors and suppliers and have the ability to visualise a situation well before it becomes reality. You'll be comfortable with hands-on work and be able to travel to 10-15 weekend events each year. Experience in logistics and ideally conducting sports / public events is greatly preferred.
