Job summary

The role blends clinic work with outreach, supported by an experienced team and strong admin/logistical support.

Caseload spans children to adults in clinic, schools, aged care, and home visits; travel within NT; start ASAP for 4–6 months; accommodation and transport support

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration.
• Experience delivering OT services across lifespan; pediatrics to adults.
• Willingness to travel within NT and participate in outreach work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services across clinic, schools, and aged care settings.
• Provide home visits and outreach in remote communities; travel with possible overnight stays.
• Collaborate with Allied Health Assistants and admin team to support clinical work.

LOCUM OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Darwin & Remote Northern Territory | 4-6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a well-established allied health service based in Darwin, delivering services across Darwin and remote Northern Territory communities.

This role offers a unique mix of clinic-based work and outreach, supported by a highly structured team and excellent logistical support.

Location

• Primary base: Darwin, NT
• Outreach: Day trips to remote communities, with occasional overnight stays

Accommodation & Transport

• $300 per week contribution towards accommodation for the duration of the contract
• Work vehicle provided for all outreach, school, community and home visits

Caseload

• Work across the lifespan: children, adolescents and adults
• Settings include:
• Clinic
• Schools & childcare
• Aged care
• Home visits
• Support from Allied Health Assistants

Support

• Full admin and finance support
• No invoicing or appointment bookings required
• Focus purely on clinical work

Contract Details

• Locum position
• Start: ASAP
• Minimum 4 months, preference for 6 months
