UGL Transport is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to perform servicing and maintenance on locomotives at the Hunter Valley Maintenance Centre in Newcastle. This permanent, full-time role involves a 9-day fortnight with potential shift variations to support 24/7 operations.

You will work under the Service Delivery Manager in a supportive maintenance team, performing scheduled servicing, fault finding and repair work, while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Certificate and Certificate of Proficiency are required.
• Hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in rail/locomotive maintenance.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new ways of working.

Responsabilités

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on locomotives.
• Mechanical fault finding, diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Repair and maintain locomotive components and equipment.
• Operate workshop equipment safely.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and customer outcomes.
