Pacific National, Australia's largest private rail freight operator, is hiring qualified locomotive drivers to join teams across Sydney — Enfield, Menangle and St Mary's. One of our key metropolitan hubs supports critical freight movements across NSW and the national rail network.

You will prepare, inspect and operate locomotives safely, and work to ensure safety and DIFOT performance while reporting hazards.

Competenze

• Certificate IV in Train Driving required.
• NSW route knowledge highly regarded.
• Freight rail experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Ability to meet rail medical requirements.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster.

Mansioni

• Prepare, inspect and operate locomotives safely.
• Operate train services per safety standards and Pacific National procedures.
• Complete operational and compliance documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Train Control and operational teams.
• Deliver strong DIFOT performance.
• Identify and report hazards and safety risks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership in safety and safe work practices.
