Simon National Carriers in Townsville at Mount St John is hiring Local MC / Forklift Drivers to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a diverse on-road role reporting to the Operations Manager, with a mix of team and autonomous work.

You'll handle freight and accompanying paperwork with a high level of accuracy, operate equipment safely, and communicate effectively with customers and the back-to-base team. We value stability, growth, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a Professional Driver with a can-do attitude.
• Experience handling freight and accompanying paperwork.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Participate in load configuration and run planning.
• Complete daily, multi-customer and bulk metro and regional pick-up and delivery runs; process freight paperwork with accuracy.
• Operate equipment and handle freight safely and compliantly at all times.
• Communicate effectively with customers and back-to-base.

About the Role

This is a diverse on-road role, reporting to the Operations Manager. You will work both as part of a team and autonomously with a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail in handling freight and processing accompanying paperwork. You must be a Professional Driver who is a committed, passionate and enthusiastic operator and possess a can/will-do attitude to help support significant growth and service a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in load configuration and run planning

• Operate equipment and handle freight safely and compliantly at all time.
