Job summary

Flinders Shire Council is seeking a proactive Local Laws Officer to lead regulatory compliance, investigation and enforcement across the Shire. You will work with residents, businesses and agencies to investigate matters, undertake inspections and patrols, and provide regulatory advice to protect community safety and amenity.

You’ll balance education, engagement and enforcement to achieve practical outcomes for the region as a permanent full-time role with a competitive salary.

Flinders Shire Council is seeking a proactive and professional Local Laws Officer to lead regulatory compliance, investigation and enforcement activities across the Shire.

Working closely with residents, businesses, government agencies and Council teams, you'll investigate compliance matters, undertake inspections and patrols, manage animal related services, provide regulatory advice and help protect the safety, amenity and environmental wellbeing of our community.

You'll play a key role in balancing education, engagement and enforcement to achieve practical and positive outcomes for the region.

Award: Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - State 2017

Salary range:$78,574.86 - $87,177.48 gross per annum dependant on skills and experience
