Job summary

Hornby Transport Services is seeking drivers to fill local HC tipper roles within the business. The position involves operating semi tippers for deliveries between Sydney, Newcastle and rural areas.

It is a Monday to Friday role with some overtime on Saturdays, as required, and penalties apply to overtime hours. You will perform daily pre-start checks and must comply with HTS policies and procedures while upholding high safety standards and load restraint practices.

Qualifications

• Impeccable safety record with relevant heavy vehicle experience.
• Commitment to safety in all tasks.
• Good understanding of load restraint.
• Ability to safely manage fatigue.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology.
• Road Ranger experience required.
• Roles based out of Newcastle.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi tippers/BD Tippers to deliver freight to and from Sydney, Newcastle and rural areas.
• Monday to Friday with overtime on Saturdays when required; penalties paid for overtime.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Comply with HTS operations, policies and procedures.
• Manage fatigue in line with fatigue guidelines.
