Job summary

Carers Queensland Logan office is seeking a Local Area Coordinator to connect participants with the NDIS and the local community. You will act as the frontline liaison, delivering a person-centred approach to support planning and capacity building.

In this role you will build relationships within Carers Queensland and with external partners, and contribute to program-wide strategies that strengthen community outcomes for people with disabilities and their families.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal oriented and agile setting.
• Experience in community services or disability sector preferred.
• Demonstrated person-centred approach to support planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

The Carers Queensland Logan of fice is looking for the right person to join our Local Area Coordinator team. If you are passionate, empathetic and compassionate, and can work in a fast-paced, goal oriented and agile setting, we want to hear from you!

About The Role:

In this role you will be the key link between our participants, the National Disability Insurance Agency, and the community you live and work in. Our LACs are our front line serving the community by delivering the NDIS LAC PITC program. This role will have a focus on building and strengthening the capacity of people with disabilities (both NDIS participants and non-participants), their families and their carers.

Key Duties:

• Implement processes and plans using a person-centred approach.
• Deliver program-wide strategy to engage people with disability, government, business and community sectors.
• Assist with community capacity building projects to meet community needs with strategic long-term vision.
• Develop strategic, collegial and productive relationships, within and external to Carers Queensland, to ensure the best outcomes for clients, the program and the organisation.
