Job summary

Oakey Beef Exports is seeking reliable Labourers for the Load Out Department in Oakey. You will prepare, handle and load cartons and pallets in a cold storage environment, ensuring domestic and export orders meet quality and safety standards.

Training is provided, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and procedures. The roster includes night shifts Sunday to Thursday with monthly overtime and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• Night shift ability (Sun–Thu).
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling (25kg+).
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.
• Comfortable working in cold storage/freezer environments.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety, hygiene and working procedures.
• Forklift ticket/desirable.

Opportunity

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers to join our Load Out Department. This role is responsible for preparing, handling, and loading cartons, pallets and containers in a fast-paced cold storage environment.

Working within a team, you will help ensure domestic and export orders are accurately prepared and loaded to meet strict quality, safety, and export standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for both new to industry and experienced cold store/warehouse workers, with a range of training opportunities available! As a leading exporter in the red meat industry, you’ll gain experience in state-of-the-art facilities supplying to markets all around the globe. Duties may include:

• Stacking, wrapping, securing and loading cartons (25kg+) onto pallets and into containers/trucks;
• Scanning cartons and pallets for accuracy, traceability and shipment verification;
• Temperature checking goods in strict alignment with food safety protocols;
• Completing transport/export documentation accurately; and
• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely in a fast-paced environment.

Position Roster:

Monday: 12:01am – 8:16am
Tuesday: 8:00pm – 4:16am
Wednesday: 8:00pm – 4:16am
Thursday: 8:00pm – 4:16am

Please note: 1hr mandatory overtime may be required each day, plus 5 mandatory Saturday’s each year.

What experience are we looking for?

While no experience is required, the following abilities are required to be successful in a Load Out position:

• Must be able to work night shifts from Sunday – Thursday;
