Job summary

Mornington Screening Service in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Loader Operator to join our busy production team. This hands-on role focuses on operating front-end loaders safely, maintaining a steady raw material supply, and meeting daily production targets across the site.

You will perform pre-start checks, monitor stockpiles, keep a clean workplace, and report faults or safety hazards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating front-end loaders or similar machinery.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to cover shifts and availability for occasional Saturday overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain continuous supply of raw materials to production lines (CBL, Woodfibre, Baling/Bagging).
• Perform daily pre-start checks, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
• Monitor stockpiles to ensure proper segregation and inventory control.
• Prevent cross-contamination of materials during handling.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site.
• Complete accurate daily production reports.
• Identify and report plant faults, breakdowns, and safety hazards.
• Assist with plant operations, trials, and general production tasks as required.

Loader Operator – Afternoon Shift

Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Afternoon Shift Loader Operator to join our busy production team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high operational and safety standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of plant and equipment, maintaining consistent raw material supply, and meeting daily production targets across our site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain continuous supply of raw materials to production lines (CBL, Woodfibre, Baling/Bagging)
• Perform daily pre-start checks, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment
• Monitor stockpiles to ensure proper segregation and inventory control
• Prevent cross-contamination of materials during handling
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site
• Complete accurate daily production reports
• Identify and report plant faults, breakdowns, and safety hazards
• Assist with plant operations, trials, and general production tasks as required

Monday – Thursday: 1:15pm – 9:45pm

Friday: 10:45am – 4:45pm
