Job summary

UNSW is hiring an LMS Engineer to design, build, and optimize our new Learning Management System. You will configure platforms, set up roles, and implement integrations with PeopleSoft, SSO, Turnitin, and other tools across cloud and on-premise environments.

You will collaborate with developers and stakeholders in an Agile setting, drive continuous improvement, and ensure secure, scalable, and fit-for-purpose LMS solutions that advance teaching and learning at UNSW.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience, with strong expertise across multiple technology domains (e.g. web applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, databases, security).
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, design, and implement complex technical solutions, applying new technologies and concepts.
• Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments, with a focus on iterative and high-quality solution outcomes.
• Proficiency using delivery and workflow management tools (e.g. JIRA, MS TFS) to track and manage work.
• Experience preparing and executing test cases, with a solid understanding of end-to-end testing practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships across IT and the business.

Responsibilities

• Platform configuration and build of LMS including structure, branding, templates, and dashboards.
• Manage role/permission configurations across system, faculty, course, and assessment levels.
• Develop integrations between LMS and university systems using CSV, APIs and LTI standards.
