Job summary

St Vincent’s Care Services in Kew seeks a Personal Care Supervisor/ Living Support Manager to lead the care team and ensure daily personal care aligns with residents’ choices and preferences. The role reports to the Facility Manager and sits within the Senior Leadership Team.

You will oversee living support staff, drive training and culture, and maintain excellent standards of care in a Catholic health environment.

  • Advanced communication skills and strong time management abilities.
  • Cert III in Individual Support or equivalent aged care experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Personal Care Supervisor/ Care Staff Manager (Care Team Leader/ Supervisor) , also known as Living Support Manager (Non-Clinical Manager) to join our dynamic team at St Vincent’s Care Services Kew.

In this role you will report directly to the Facility Manager and will be a member the Senior Leadership Team comprising Facility Manager, Clinical Manager and Hospitality Services Manager’s. The role will showcase your unique ability to work collaboratively with other members of the senior team whilst leading and guiding the Living Support/ Care staff Team to support our residents by providing daily personal care enabling residents’ choices and preferences through daily lifestyle activities.

You need to have full knowledge and understanding of the currentAge Care Quality Standards, along with strong communication, organisational and leadership skills and have the ability to inspire those around you to go the extra distance to provide the best of care, care that is from the heart. Whether you have a clinical background or come from a strong non-clinical leadership role, you bring a solid understanding of contemporary aged care service delivery and a passion for leading and supporting care teams.

Please note this is a full-time role working Monday to Friday office hours.

Things that work for us:

  • Previous leadership experience in an aged care home;

  • Advanced communications skills and strong time management skills;

  • Cert III in Individual Support or similar field or equivalent experience in aged care.

  • Ability to meet competing and challenging priorities;

  • Have demonstrated abilities in change management processes;

  • An understanding on coaching, training and developing teams and team culture;

  • Registration with a professional body or tertiary qualifications and experience in human or community services;

  • An understanding of the culture and tradition of Catholic Health, including a commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of the organisation and an ability to promote the behavioural expectations in line with this philosophy.
