Job summary

The role is outreach-focused, engaging with the community and providing compassionate, rights-based support.

Applicants should have lived experience, be eligible for NDIS worker screening, and be ready to work flexibly 3–5 days per week across a 7-day roster.

Qualifications

  • Lived experience of mental health and recovery.
  • Experience in peer support mental health services is desirable.
  • NDIS worker screening clearance required prior to commencement.
  • DHS Working with Children Check required prior to commencement.
  • Australian driver’s license with a reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
  • First aid certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Outreach across the Adelaide metro area, building trust and rapport with community members.
  • Support people to activate their choice and connect with NDIS services for wellbeing.
  • Contribute ideas towards quality improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • Work from a lived-experience, human-rights and compassion-centered framework to support recovery.
  • Collaborate with families and other supports in the best interests of participants.
  • Be available 3–5 days per week, on a flexible roster across 7 days.
