Job summary

Mercy Health in Melbourne is seeking a Consumer Lived Experience Support Worker (AOD) to provide lived experience perspectives and practical support within the multidisciplinary team at Mercy sites across Werribee Mercy Hospital, Wyndham Clinic and Williams Landing.

You will collaborate with clinicians, consumers and carers to support recovery goals, share your experience to build hope and resilience, and participate in training and capacity building across the organisation.

Qualifications

• /Eligible for lived experience worker role with mental health and/or substance use focus.
• /Experience sharing consumer lived experience to support recovery and hope.
• /Awareness of peer support principles and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Bring a lived experience perspective to the AOD specialist team.
• Provide consultation and advice to clinicians on working with co-occurring mental ill health and substance use.
• Contribute to professional development and capacity building across the organisation.
