Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Venue Technician to support the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre. You will operate audio, lighting, vision and staging systems to deliver theatre productions, concerts, conferences and events, collaborating with the technical team and clients to ensure high quality audience experiences.

The role includes evenings, weekends and public holidays on a 76-hour fortnight roster, with an attractive AUD salary and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in operating audio, lighting, vision and staging equipment in theatres and convention centres.
• Knowledge of WHS, risk management and emergency evacuation procedures for live venues.
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technical Team to evaluate processes and best practices.
• Set up and operate audio, vision, lighting and staging equipment for shows and events.
• Work with clients to realise event requirements within venue capabilities.
• Ensure infrastructure and equipment are maintained, repaired or replaced for safety and efficiency.
