Greenhalgh Pickard Solicitors & Accountants on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join our growing team. You’ll handle a varied commercial disputes caseload from initial client contact through to resolution, with hands-on exposure and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Admission as a solicitor in Queensland with at least 1 year PAE in litigation or dispute resolution.
• Strong drafting, analytical and advocacy skills.

• Collaborative mindset and willingness to upskill and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery sessions with new and prospective clients to scope matters and identify strategy.
• Handle contract, shareholder, debt recovery and insolvency disputes.
• Manage employment disputes including unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
• Handle building, construction, property and leasing disputes and misrepresentation claims.
• Contribute to strategy, pleadings, ADR, and interlocutory applications as experience allows.

The opportunity

You’ll be part of a varied commercial litigation and dispute resolution caseload, working across the full lifecycle of a matter from first client contact through to resolution. This includes:

• Running discovery sessions with new and prospective clients to scope matters, assess prospects and identify the right strategy from day one
• Contract and shareholder disputes, debt recovery and insolvency matters
• Employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, general protections claims and contractual disputes
• Building and construction, property and leasing disputes, and misleading or deceptive conduct claims
• Strategy, pleadings and evidence, negotiation and ADR, and interlocutory applications and appearances as your experience allows

You’ll work closely with senior litigators and our accounting team, with genuine scope to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time. As you grow into the role, you’ll have the opportunity to build your own client relationships and take greater ownership of matters from start to finish.

What you’ll bring
